A Message from the Principal

Mrs Pauline Long

Dear Parents and Carers,

St Joey’s Mini Olympics

Undoubtedly the highlight of last week was our St Joey’s Mini Olympics. The students not only had a great day they also learnt to work with new team members by actively; listening, co-operating and helping each other. These are all important life skills and our students impressed me with their teamwork.

The individual challenges highlighted the importance of practising skills; just like the Olympic athletes.  The following photos show the fantastic range of activities on offer for the students and the fun they had. All students certainly portrayed the Olympic motto of faster, higher, stronger - together as they competed throughout the day.

Mrs Hofman has also created a video of our Olympics and it can be accessed through this link   https://youtu.be/D-iEy23j6Q8   ENJOY!

This Thursday and Friday I will be in Armidale at the Diocesan Principals’ meeting. These meetings are important to build my leadership skills so as a school community we can plan strategically for the future. I look forward to sharing my insights with you in next week’s newsletter.

Have a safe and happy week and please continue to pray for family and friends affected by COVID 19.

Have a wonderful week

Pauline Long
