Plant Production Systems

Year 11 ATAR

Once students  finished their exams they were rewarded for all their hard work with a tour around the College and Farm to see the animals and to get some fresh air.  

These students also set up their Plant Production investigation at Horticulture which will continue over the holidays and into Term 3. Students are investigating the effect of different soil types (sand, clay and potting mix) on plant growth using a Rockstar Wheat variety.  They are looking at the effect of an organic liquid seaweed fertiliser on half of the plant trial. 

Year 12 ATAR

Students in Year 12 Plant Production also set up their investigation at Horticulture that will continue over the holidays and into Term 3. They are investigating the effect of different soil types (sand, clay, loam and potting mix) on plant growth using a Vixen wheat variety and a standard pellet NPKS fertiliser.
