Watch the video link to see some really nice work by Xavier G, Year 9, using a software package called Blender. It demonstrates physics principles that would normally be learned in VCE years; it's great to see them demonstrated by a Year 9 student.

In Xavier’s own words:

"I would like to tell you about a fancy render I did in ‘Blender’, a completely free and widely used 3D and 2D modelling/animating software available on desktop. This 4K animation simulates a very heavy wrecking ball colliding with very light-weight cubes, creating a satisfying impact. The mass value, as well as many other values, can be altered in these simulations to make just about anything you want to happen, happen… but BEWARE: A beefy PC is required to render thousands of objects like I have, otherwise your computer will freeze, and Blender will crash."

Well done Xavier!
