VIEW FROM THE CLASSROOMS

Unfortunately, the current COVID-19 restrictions has meant that we have had to put a pause on our 'Parent Learning Walk' initiative that we began last term. These walks had allowed the parent community an opportunity to come into our classrooms during the school day to observe what 21st Century learning looks like at St Edward's School.

 

We are excited for the time when we will be able to get the Parent Learning Walks up and running again. For now, please be assured that the classrooms are buzzing with learning as Term 3 gets underway! 

 

The teachers have been utilising all available wall space in their classrooms, which are acting as a 'Third Teacher' for the students. Having Learning Intentions and Success Criteria visible in classrooms assists students in recognising what it is needed from them to be successful in each lesson. Other spaces are being used to display VCOP Walls, topic specific vocabulary, and even positive growth mindset reminders:
