Since our last issue, the women’s section has continued to thrive with a buzzing vibe throughout each team. With a tough back end of the season coming up, each of our teams have a good chance of playing finals, reflecting on a very successful season by our ladies.
In the last couple rounds we’ve had two big milestones, Alice Whitford, a fabulous homegrown player, played her 100th seniors game for the club. And Palma played her 400th seniors game for the club, a monumental milestone to reach! It was wonderful to be fortunate to celebrate both of these games with a big home round with many cheering both players onto the field.
We had a fabulous representation of TEM women at the recent Junior State Championships. Congratulations on a wonderful tournament to:
Players: Alice O’Brien, Mackenzie Hughes, Asha Newstead, Camryn Bailey, Eliza Shrimpton, Chloe Whiter, Georgina Kennedy, Nivi Thomas, Eliza Grey
Coaches: Annabel Kennedy, Lucy Dunlop
Umpires: Mackenzie Hughes, Annabel Kennedy, Georgina Kennedy
TO’s:Tori Delaney and Jo Hughes
Tournament director: Lyn Delaney
We continue to have new players showing interest in joining the club, some who are completely new to hockey! Hearing from so many new players is very exciting and continues to develop the strong depth we have.
With Pride Round just around the corner, we anticipate a huge home round with 6 of our 7 teams playing at home on Saturday July 24th.
