A message from Emmanuel College
Congratulations to our College Captains team on their impressive involvement in last week’s leadership camp in preparation for their leadership at Emmanuel in 2019. Well done also to our student sports leaders on their commissioning at the recent Associated Catholic Colleges 2019 leadership launch and to Jade Davis, Anika Clancy, and Corin Hatton on the selection of their work for the Catholic Education Melbourne Visual Arts Exhibition 2019.
Welcome to our new Year 7 students who joined us in early December for their College orientation. This was an exciting day as our new Year 7s took their next step in joining the College community - meeting members of their home-room, getting to know one another, picking-up their new touch-screen laptops and musical instrument, and preparing for their Year 7 subjects. Their transition program, which continues over 2019, includes the Year 7 camp to be held at Camp Portsea in February.

Hobsons Bay Library - Summer is Coming!
December and January are very busy times in Library Land! Please find some information below regarding our programs and events over Summer. Please share with your families. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your support throughout 2018, and look forward to working with you again in 2019.
FOOD FOR FINES
Library fines can often be the reason that parents don’t bring their children into the libraries. At Hobsons Bay Libraries, we are again running Food For Fines. This fantastic initiative allows families to donate non-perishable food items in exchange for library fines. One item of food clears up to $10 of fines! These donations are then collected into hampers for people in need this Festive season.
