Farewell Henry

Today staff held a morning tea to celebrate the retirement of Henry Zun, our legendary guitar tutor.  After 19 years teaching the children of Queen of Peace and other local schools, he was presented with a gift in recognition of his dedication and service.  Henry then reflected on his time here and how much he has enjoyed watching his students learn, thrive and grow in confidence.   We wish Henry well in his retirement, with more time to spend with grandchildren, on well deserved holidays and supporting the Bulldogs!

Baby news

Congratulations Lotus (Prep A) and Elijah (1C) who have welcomed a baby brother, Ezekiel.

Donation received

Thank you to families who have purchased goods from Athlete's Foot at Highpoint this year.  Through the store's incentive scheme, the school has just received a cheque for $150.  We acknowledge and appreciate this donation and as always, the support of our families.

Donate your old glasses

Do you have any old pairs of spectacles at home that you no longer wear? Time to clear out that junk drawer and donate the glasses to a good cause! Prep B have organised a donation box so your glasses can be recycled. The collection box can found in the school office. The glasses will then be donated to people in need overseas through Lions Recycle for Sight, facilitated by Specsavers Werribee Community Program.

A message from the Office

To avoid disruption to classrooms, if children need to be collected early they should be picked up at the lunch break (at 1:30pm Monday or 1:40pm Tuesday-Friday).  It is also very disruptive for classes and the office to by passing on messages to children in the afternoons.  It would be appreciated if these interruptions could be kept to a minimum.
