Reunions

5 Year Reunion 2018

50 Year Reunion

Class of 1968

Even though there was only a small

number to celebrate the 50 Year Reunion

in February, there was real warmth in

the room and everyone was excited to

reconnect with their past classmates.

We were lucky to have current School

Leaders Aidan McShane and Harrison

Broughton conduct a School tour. A real

highlight was visiting our current ELC

building as it used to be the family home

of Victoria Swann, one of our Kilvonians

who was there on the night!

The class of 1968 is very keen to grow

the numbers for their reunions and reach

out to others from their peer group.

Please contact Community Relations

Officer Deb Duce at duced@kilvington.

vic.edu.au and we will be pleased to put

you in touch with your past classmates.

Walsh Club

50 Years Plus

Our Walsh Club reunion saw us revisit

Café Vic at the Melbourne Arts Centre in

early March. We welcomed some familiar

faces and a few new members from our

1967 peer group. It’s always a pleasure

to chat and reminisce with this fabulous

group of women. We particularly enjoyed

the company of our Deputy Principal,

Davina McClure, who joined us on this occasion.

For our 5 and 10-year reunion we gathered at The Hotel Brighton for drinks and nibbles. This was quite an occasion as it marked the first reunion to have a Kilvington boy attend.

Alex Parker was the first boy to finish his VCE at Kilvington and the only boy in the 2013 cohort. Everyone was thrilled to see Mr Les Clement who made the effort to come along and see his past students. Thanks Les!

40 and 45 Year Reunion

Class of

At the end of April, a small group of very

lively ladies from our 1978 peer year

gathered to connect and catch up on all

the news since graduating from Kilvington

Our former students were very

interested in our progress to a co-ed

school, and it was delightful to hear

their stories and see photos from their

school days – none of them had changed

a bit! We were able to interrupt their

enthusiastic reminiscing for a School tour,

taken by three of our School leaders.

As they said their goodbyes, they were

already planning their 45-year reunion!

30 and 35 Year Reunion

Class of 1988
Class of 1988

Winter was upon us but that didn’t stop

over 30 Kilvonians from peer years 1983

and 1988 coming out in the cold to catch

up here at the School.

Memories of underwear and dress

length checks had everyone in stitches.

Dalton Hall came alive to the score from

Oklahoma. It was such fun to witness their

fabulous voices and obvious enjoyment.

The 1988 cohort remembered all their

lines and the songs from the musical

production. It was also very special to

have Marlene Hoff (nee Burk) and Kenia Krauer from the 1983 peer group there on the night as they both attended Kilvington from Prep

to Year 12.

‘I had an absolutely

fantastic evening. It was

so wonderful to catch up

with my old school friends

from 35 years ago. The

memories we shared

were so vivid, had us all

laughing, or gasping or

going into great detail

about who said what, or

why, or how.’

We are looking forward to hosting the

20 and 25 Year reunion for our 1993 and

1998 peer groups on 10 August this year.

In November, we will once again hold our

annual all-peer Alumni event, Kilvonian

Konnections. Further details on the events page.
