Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

We welcome back all our students and their families to Term 4 and trust that all have returned to school re-energised and inspired to do their very best in all areas of school life. We look forward to a wonderful term of learning and enjoying the many celebrations that the end of a school year brings.

On Monday, during pupil free day, our staff gathered for our annual Spirituality Day. Although Mrs Charadia is currently on Long Service Leave this week, she was able to facilitate the day, which focused on reconnecting with our faith and finding ways to sustain our well being.

We spent the day engaging with scripture and songs, meditation and silent reflection. We also took part in the Flourish program - a program designed to give us specific skills and strategies to support well being and be more effective.  Staff Spirituality Days are important, as they give us opportunities to stop and reflect on our mission and purpose as Educators in Catholic Education.

This year’s World Mission Month experience provides an opportunity for us to focus on the 'exchange of gifts ' that takes place on the margins. Catholic Mission receives our financial assistance to support initiatives that promote human dignity and our participation in outreach presents valuable lessons in resilience and compassion and reminds us that we are part of a global Catholic community.

A "Welcome to World Mission Month” video from Catholic Mission, including an address from Bishop Brian Mascord can be viewed below:

Jesus calls us at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Bulli to be ‘Mission People’. On Thursday 29 October we as a school community will participate in a crazy sock, gold coin ‘Sock it to Poverty’ Fundraising day. Together we can make a difference through compassionate action and loving service. Teachers will provide opportunities for students to focus on World Mission Month during their Religious Education lessons.

Warm Regards,

Miguel Aguilera
