CROSS COUNTRY

On Tuesday 29 May, six Murrumbeena students competed in the Beachside Division cross country at Bald Hill Park. Oliver Corrie, the only Grade 4 student, did extremely well and finished 11th in his event.

Elisabeth Efstathiou competed in a very quick race finished 34th in her  event.

The 11 year old boys' event had four representatives from Murrumbeena Primary School. Matthew Riccioni had a great finish, passing a few competitors in the last few metres of the race. Liam Anstee, James Mc Inerney and Andrew Meldrum did exceptionally well, finishing in the top 10, and now progress to the next stage - Southern Metropolitan Regionals. This is an amazing achievement as there are 63 schools in the Beachside Division.

Their next race will be held on 21June at Hastings foreshore.  Good-luck boys!
