Dear Year 12 Students and Parents,
We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a virtual Valedictory Evening for our Year 12 students and families on Thursday 3rd December 2020.
Their continued efforts this year have been commendable, and we are looking forward to celebrating their success with them and you.
Further details regarding the evening will be sent out soon, but for now, please secure this date in your calendar so that we can see out this unusual COVID year in style!
Many thanks

Students have been working on a cooking unit within Indonesian for the second part of this term. They have explored instructional writing skills in Indonesian and have had the chance to read and decode traditional Indonesian recipes.
Students were then given the challenge of transforming their favourite recipes into Indonesian before filming them cooking this recipe for our class ‘Masterchef Indonesia’ episode. We look forward to receiving the film submissions, but for now, please enjoy some yummy recipes to bake over the holidays (but you must translate them from Indonesian first!)

In InterGREAT this week, students considered how COVID19 could positively change the future.
Here are some of their responses:
I think a major change could be the way we travel. Over the course of the COVID19 lockdown, we have seen a decline of air pollution because most people have stopped using their cars. This gives us a picture of how our environment can look like without the constant pollution from cars and planes. I think people would be inspired and come up with or promote more sustainable ways to travel.
The most interesting change that COVID19 will bring to the future is that a lot of workplaces will have staggered work shifts. This is so offices and factories are not crowded, and employees can safely maintain social distancing.
I think that the most interesting change that COVID19 will bring into the future will be the education system. Many people during this time have either loved doing online learning or they've hated it. Perhaps in the future there will be a choice presented by schools and universities to students? Would there be a huge difference in numbers at school that we see today? Will more people choose to work online?
I've seen how humanity reacts to sudden change, and how I can prepare myself to stabilise and adapt to the unknown.
