NAIDOC Week

This week we are celebrating NAIDOC week. We have had the opportunity to make bracelets with red, black and yellow beads. We have also discussed this years NAIDOC poster and have coloured it in. On Thursday students are invited to wear clothes in the colours of either the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander flag.

No Big Write this week.

Athletics Carnival

Last week we held our school athletics carnival. It was very different from what we would normally do. The students participated very well and we were very proud of them. Many students received ribbons on the day.

Bossy 'e'

We have been working on learning how the 'bossy e' works in both spelling and reading. This week we are also testing students reading and spelling of Tricky words set 8. It would be great to keep practising these and start working on set 9 at home, next week.

Measuring Length

In mathematics, we have been learning how to measure lengths using different informal units of measurement like paper clips, blocks and counters.

Features of Places

In Geography we continue to look at features of places that are natural, built and managed.
