An Overview of our Learning

THANK YOU FROM MRS ROWE

As we come to the end of Term Three, it is great to reflect upon how far we have all come during this Remote Learning journey. When I became a teacher, I never once thought that I would be teaching from home! I did not think I would be recording teaching videos and chatting and helping students through WebEx. In fact, I didn't even know what WebEx was!

Throughout this term, your amazing children have had to adapt to so many changes. Talking to others through a video chat can be daunting and working more independently at home can be a bit scary and lonely. BUT they have been so incredible. They have learnt how to prioritise tasks and their own wellbeing. They have learnt how to be flexible with their thinking and been so resilient. They have handed in the most incredible work and really risen to the challenge. I am so proud of each and every student in 3/4A and want to give them a virtual high five to a job well done.

A huge thank you to our parents and carers for your ongoing support.  You have tirelessly worked around your own schedules, dealt with lack of Internet and power, and helped your children continue on their learning journey. You deserve a big thank you as I know it has not always been easy.

I would like to wish you all a lovely break over the school holidays. I can’t wait to see everybody when we return to the classroom.

Thanks for an amazing term!

Mrs Rowe

THANK YOU FROM MRS WOOLLARD

As the teacher of 34C I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am of all of your efforts over Term 3. Right from the beginning you all hit the ground running, full of enthusiasm, positive attitudes and a willingness to learn again in difficult and sometimes challenging circumstances.

I am so impressed with the continued growth you have all shown, and the real resilience that has been demonstrated throughout the weekly learning tasks. I have really enjoyed getting to see your smiling faces and learning more about you all, through our weekly Webex chats.

Thank you to each and every one of you for your continued support, making me smile every day and your never ending perseverance. I hope you all have a lovely holiday.

Mrs Woollard

THANK YOU FROM MISS HENCHLEY

As the teacher of 3/4B, I would like to congratulate each and every one of you for your efforts during these trying times. Being away from friends and family can be incredibly difficult, however, you have displayed resilience, determination and a growth mindset throughout this process.

My favourite part of each week has been checking in with you via Webex because seeing your smiley faces on the screen always brings me so much joy. Although I missed teaching you in the classroom, I am grateful that we were able to create personal and meaningful connections where you shared with me your Lego creations, stories and even introduced us to your furry friends.

Thank you 3/4B for your patience, kindness and ‘can do’ attitude! I am so proud of you for making the best of this situation by focusing on the positive aspects of Remote Learning.

I would especially like to thank the parents and carers of 3/4B for your help to facilitate Remote Learning. I am inspired by how you have managed to balance this role in addition to your own work and other important responsibilities.

I am proud to be part of the wonderful community at Upwey South Primary School!
