Message from the Principal

Achieving Excellence Together

Dear Parents,

This week, all students were involved in the Sports Awareness Program whereby they were engaged in various activities designed to immerse them in experiences beyond the classroom. The benefits to our students for engaging in these experiences are limitless and support not just the learning we do in the classroom but also contribute to the health and wellbeing of our students and enhance their sense of connectedness to others. Thank you to our Enrichment Team for organising such a diverse curriculum where the students are exposed to varied and fun learning experiences each term. This is our final edition of the School Newsletter in its current format. Next term, we will put the feedback provided by you in the parent survey to launch our new Digital Newsletter which can be accessed from your Compass Newsfeed. We will be interested in hearing your thoughts on the new format once we begin.

It is very hard to believe that we have already completed term 1. I would like to use this opportunity to thank all the staff for their hard work and dedication to the students of Albanvale PS. Thank you also to all of our parents and grandparents for your support in the home-school partnership. Of course, thank you to all the students who are a pleasure to teach and make Albanvale PS the wonderful school that it is. I’d also like to congratulate both Nada Stojimenov and Carol Thomson who will be leaving APS after many years with us. Your positive contribution to our school and community is greatly appreciated and our students have continued to thrive from your efforts. Both Nada and Carol have accepted promotions at a new school recognising their expertise. On behalf of the APS community, I’d like to wish them all the best in the future.
