Harmony Day Parade & Kaboom Incursion

Harmony Week: 21st-25th March 2022

Harmony Day Parade  & KABOOM INCURSION

Harmony Day Parade:

On Monday the 21st March, Mackellar Primary held a Harmony Day Parade. Harmony Week celebrates Australia's cultural diversity. This week is about inclusivity, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. At Mackellar Primary School we encouraged everyone to wear orange or alternatively wear their cultural dress. Our Grade 6 Student Leaders ran an extended assembly and each grade showcased their outfits.

Kaboom Incursion:

On the 22nd March, Mackellar Primary School had the pleasure of having the KABOOM crew come out to run a whole school incursion as part of Harmony Week. Students were beaming with excitement from start to finish as the KABOOM crew kept the students engaged with unique and exciting activities. Students were given the opportunity to enhance their skills in cooperation, leadership, teamwork, and resilience. A perfect fit for Harmony Week. Students came to school dressed in their house colours and seeing the whole school in colour participating and having fun was a fantastic experience for all.
