Grade 6 Student Leaders - Term 1 overview

Our Grade 6 Student Leaders have been working hard this term building on their leadership qualities They have been practising their presentation skills during our weekly  Assembly sessions.

Our Grade 6 Student leaders planned our first Harmony Day Parade last Monday. Their ideas and execution during the parade showcases their leadership qualities and was an absolute success all round.

They have been busy planning and practising our Anzac Day commemoration service,  which will be held this Tuesday at 3:00pm-3:30pm. They have successfully planned all components of the service from the introductory speech, music to be played during the service, wreath ideas for each grade level along with a handmade poppy garden represented by each student at Mackellar PS.

Finally for this term, our Student Leaders are planning their first fundraiser for 2022 where each student is encouraged to wear casual clothes and in return bring a gold coin donation. All money will be going towards the Royal Children's Hospital - Good Friday Appeal.

On behalf of the all the staff at Mackellar Primary School, I would like to thank the Student Leaders for everything they have achieved so far this year. The students hard work and dedication to weekly classes is giving their peers a voice in how Mackellar Primary School can improve.

Looking forward to seeing the Grade 6 Student Leaders flourish over 2022.
