Annual Report 2021
The 2021 school year again brought many challenges due to COVID-19, with times of Remote Learning and changing restrictions. During the year our staff have been resilient, flexible and adaptable and as a community, we have been able to consolidate the school's purpose, vision and strategic plan for the future. Underpinning all we do has been a focus on wellbeing for our school community.
Our staff goals for 2021 included a focus on Differentiation and on Design Thinking across the school. We also introduced Digital Technology and Media Arts as a specialist subject.
We were able to offer many extracurricular activities including Athletics Club, Worship Band, Mandarin language classes, Bebras Challenge, Oliphant Science Awards, and our Flourish Enrichment Program of optional activities at lunch or after school (angklung ensemble; book making; stretch, relax and rejuvenate; plant and animal club; basket weaving; virtual reality; calligraphy; and knitting).
With a focus on each child's psychological, emotional and social development, our school year incorporated several programs, and two specific Wellbeing Days, with a focus on helping students look after themselves, look beyond themselves and flourish.
