OLOF School Swimming Sports
The OLOF School Swimming Sports were held on Friday the 11th at our brand new local YAWA Aquatic Centre. A huge ‘thank you’ and ‘well done’ to all of the students in years 3-6 who put their hand up to compete!
Each student had the opportunity to swim in a race in the four recognised strokes of; Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly and Breaststroke. Whilst competing, students were also earning points for their School House Team.
These swimming sports also helped me to pick a team to represent Our Lady of Fatima at the upcoming Phillip District Swimming Carnival which will be held at YAWA on Wednesday the 2nd of March 2022. This team is listed below.
After I tallied all of the points that were earned from this year’s races, our current OLOF Swimming House Champion is…………… Hinton!

Senior School Beach Days - 2022
The Year 5 and 6 students attended their first beach day for 2022 at Rosebud/McCrae Life Saving Club on Thursday the 17th of February. It was a perfect day for the beach, not too hot, not too cold and some clouds to shield us from the sun. Again, we thank the Rosebud/McCrae Life Saving Club for allowing us to use their facilities for the day.

Our Lady of Fatima Domestic Basketball Teams
This Summer Season we have had three basketball teams competing in the local Southern Peninsula Competition. We have an U9 Girls team - Fatima Flames who are coached by Dave T and Team Managed by Amanda T. We also have an U10 Boys team - Fatima Fury who are coached by Pat T and Team Managed by Mim L. Our third team the U12 Boys team - Fatima Flyers are coached by Dave T and Team Managed by Hannah G.
As the Summer Season is coming to its end, we start thinking about the upcoming Winter season. If your child wishes to continue playing, please let your team manager know and we will begin the registration process.
We are looking for expressions of interest for an U8 or U9 Boys team that Mel S has offered to coach for the Winter Season. If you are interested in joining this team, please let me know.
If you have a child that isn’t playing yet, however they would like to, please also let me know and we’ll see if we have enough players to start new teams or add to existing ones.
