Session 2: Responding to anxiety in kids and teens: A talk for parents

Anxiety is a normal human emotion but for some kids and teens it can be excessive. In these kids and teens, anxiety has the potential to interrupt friendships, reduce academic performance and even impact school attendance. In this talk, Glenn will describe what anxiety is and define when it might be a problem with reference to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Parents play an important role in helping to prevent anxiety and in supporting kids and teens who experience anxiety. Glenn will cover practical strategies that parents can use to support their kids and teens.
