From the Principal

Dear Friends,

It has been a pleasure to welcome students into the second term of school. While they are enjoying less restrictions, we still remind students to be cautious and to maintain appropriate distancing and hygiene procedures to keep COVID at bay.

I congratulate students on their leadership and participation in the College ANZAC service, the various athletics carnivals, and the upcoming College Open Day on 14 May.

We are looking forward to our involvement with new families who are considering Oxley for their children’s education. If they have relevant interest, please invite relatives and friends to Open Day.

Celebrations for special occasions are always welcome and so we wish all the mothers in our College community a wonderful Sunday, hoping that you are well looked after and that there are many reasons for being grateful. So much is transitory in life, but everyone who we have taken the time and effort to love will know that despite our fragility, we have been known and appreciated. Gratitude is a gift that we exercise for the benefit of others and ourselves. May it be one of the good things about Mother’s Day for our community.

We also remind students and parents it is School Photo Day on Tuesday 10 May. Please be punctual. More information is included on the Upcoming Events page in this newsletter.

Warm regards,

Dr Douglas Peck
