Principal's News

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Good afternoon families,

We certainly know we have started winter this week with the freezing conditions.

Thank you to Father Andrew for celebrating the sacrament of First Communion with Yr 4MP and Yr 4LP last weekend. It was a beautiful celebration for the parish and school community.

Reconciliation Week

This week all classes have been participating in activities about Reconciliation and gaining an understanding of the culture and history of our First Nations. On Wednesday the school came together in prayer and song to reflect on the meaning of Reconciliation Week and The Long Walk. Mr Tim Richardson- State Member for Mordialloc and Ms Jenna Davey-Burns- Deputy Major of Kingston attended and both spoke about the history of the First Nations in the Aspendale/Mordialloc area. Our Yr 5 & 6 Fire Carriers did a fantastic job in preparing for our Assembly and then running the proceedings. A huge thank you to Mrs Traynor for all the work she did in making this event happen. On Wednesday afternoon the whole school participated in the Mini Long Walk and it was a great way for the school to show recognition for our First Nations.

Division Cross Country

Congratulations to the 15 students who represented St Louis last Tuesday at this event. Four of our students have placed in the top 10 and will participate in the Southern Metropolitan Cross Country. We wish these four students all the very best.
