Our recent visit from the Mobile Tech School (Gippsland Tech School) included a kinematics session for Year 11 Physics students, who investigated the motion of carts on inclined tracks and a sports science session for Year 9 Sports Science students and Year 12 PE students.

Thank you to Mr Tom Wheeler for being the test subject for the VO2 max test.

Students are well underway with their learning in Science for Term 2.

Year 7 students are learning about the techniques used to separate mixtures and will have opportunities to use separation techniques such as filtration, chromatography, centrifuging and evaporation.

Year 8 students are learning how body systems work together to allow organisms to survive and are excited to be experiencing a heart and lung dissection next week.

In Year 9, students are learning how atoms are rearranged in chemical reactions and undergoing experiments to investigate exothermic and endothermic reactions.

Year 10 General Science, students are learning how evidence is used to develop scientific ideas such as the Big Bang theory and Evolution.

Students studying Year 9 Marine Science have been learning about the structure and function of different marine organisms, and underwent a Squid Dissection last week.
