Queensland School Football Championships

Our Saints boys recently represented Peninsula in the Queensland School Football Championships in Brisbane.

 

Ryan Tatti, Dominic Johnson, Nicholas Brett, Lucas Russell and Jake Broomhead were part of the U16 team, and Luca Mauro, Lachlan Morrison and Myles Howard played in the U19 team.

 

The U16 boys finished third in Queensland, one of Peninsula’s best results for many years. Nicholas Brett was named as a shadow for the Queensland U16 team, while Luca and Myles were named as shadows for the Queensland U19 team.  Well done boys!

 

Queensland State Championships Surf Lifesaving Pool Rescue

During July, Hamish Smallbane, Logan Lockyer, Cooper Hudson and James Langtree competed as part of the North Queensland branch team. The boys competed against the best in the state and as a team came first overall and received medals in many individual and team events. They displayed great sportsmanship and determination over the weekend and did themselves and the team proud.

 

National Shannons Trophy Series

Matthew Boylett, in Year 10,recently competed at the National Shannons Trophy Series. He had an awesome weekend qualifying last Friday in fifth position. He finished the first four races inside the top 11 with a sixth place, and a fifth place in the last race. Matthew was also awarded the Drivers Choice Award.
