Oliphant Science Awards

The South Australia Science Teachers Association have facilitated the Oliphant Science Awards since 1981. The Awards encourage students from Foundation to Year 12 to develop their interests in a variety of science categories suitable for a range of abilities and interests.

Students have the opportunity to explore a scientific topic of their own choice through a variety of different mediums and then display their work to a broad audience.

This year Emmaus Christian College had 24 students from South Plympton Campus who took up the challenge.

We are proud to announce the following:

Ethan (Year 7) obtained a Highly Commended for his creative hand-drawn scientific poster on Natural History. This is Ethan's third year in a row achieving highly. Well done Ethan.

Congratulations to Caleb (Year 9) who has won a place for his Scientific Inquiry research. We will not know which place he has received until the awards night later in October. This is a fabulous achievement for our students.
