Scienceworks

On Monday, the Year 3 students were fortunate to visit Scienceworks. Our day began in the “Beyond Perception: Seeing the Unseen” room, where we had the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of science and technology and discover how far we have come and what lies ahead. After lunch students participated in a science show, closely related to our Topic unit ‘Our Blue Planet’. We learned about the Earth’s rotation on its axis and how it influences the day and night cycle as well as the reasons for the seasons we experience on Earth.

Mass

On Tuesday morning, 3H were filled with excitement as they attended Mass and handed their personal letters to the parishioners. The letters spoke about the child’s involvement in the community and the sacraments they have completed. The students have cherished receiving replies from the parishioners, and facilitating a connection with our parish.

Hoop Time

On Thursday, the Year  3 and 4 students went to MSAC to compete in 3/4 Hoop Time. The students look forward to this day every year and do an amazing job representing Sacred Heart, while displaying remarkable teamwork and sportsmanship. Our Year 4 All-Star Girls, were lucky enough to make it to the grand-final, where they competed against St. Joan of Arc and secured victory by 2 points. Sacred Heart staff were extremely proud of the incredible support, leadership, and effort shown by all the Grade 3 and 4 students on this day.
