Student Achievements

Congratulations to Haiden Kim (Year 3) who was awarded an A (Honours) in his recent Violin Preliminary exam. Haiden also studies Viola, Cello and Piano and is a member of three of our String Ensembles!

Congratulations to Ternence Lu who performed beautifully at our recent Primary School Academic Assembly. Our audience were very quiet and loved listening to his performance.

Congratulations to Alegria Heinemann (Year 5) who received a B+ in her recent Viola

Grade 1 exam.

2023 Combined Junior Music Festival

The annual Combined Junior Music Festival featuring students from Clayfield College, BBC and Somerville House will be held this year on Tuesday 15 August at BBC. Selected musicians from Years 4 to 6 will be invited to participate in this fun day of music making and more information will be available in the next few weeks.

Opus 3

Opus 3 is fast approaching and we are pleased to announce that BBC will be joining us for a combined string and choral item on the night! Further event details will be provided shortly.

Musical Update

We are enjoying our Tuesday afternoon rehearsals preparing for the production of ‘The Little Mermaid Jnr.'

Rehearsal schedule

Term 3 – Tuesday afternoons until 5:00pm – all musical cast.

Term 4 – Tuesday afternoons and Friday afternoons until 5:00pm – select scenes.

Students have been rehearsing their songs for ‘The Little Mermaid Jnr’ and they sound fantastic! We are looking forward to dancing with our choreographer, Jess French of Kick Dance (who worked with our students for Arts Day).
