Community Bank Mukinbudin Funding

We are so grateful to the Community Bank Mukinbudin for their monetary contribution to the school. With their generous funding, we have been able to purchase a much-needed portable stage for events and a mud kitchen for our Primary area. The students have loved the new addition to the playground and it has been getting regular play attention already! We are so lucky to have a Bank in our town that supports so many businesses and surrounding Communities. Thank you Community Bank Mukinbudin!

NAIDOC Day

In Week 1 we celebrated NAIDOC Day, which was held during the school holidays (2-9 July). The students were split into four groups and participated in four different sessions. Face painting & bead jewellery, damper making (and tasting), painting and Indigenous language board and card games and creating their own mia mia’s (house) with different materials. Thank you to all the staff who helped the day run so smoothly, and a special thank you to Muka's Police Officer Larry Garlett for coming in and cooking up some delicious kangaroo meat and for cooking it to perfection! We are so thankful that we can support NAIDOC each year and the students enjoy participating in all the activities and trying new things!

Pamela Humphreys Dance

Last Friday, we enjoyed a fabulous dance performance by all of the Kindy- Year 10 students. What amazing styles and skills they learned during the practices they had every day in Week 2! Many thanks to Jennifer from Pamela Humphreys Dance School for providing such an educational and fun week of dance lessons. We loved seeing all of the staff and parents busting out the moves also!

100 Days of School

The Pre- Primary and Year 1/2 Class were overrun with 'Little Old People' last week to celebrate 100 days of school! The students participated in lots of fun activities involving the number 100 and got to dress up as someone 100 years old or wear some very creative t-shirts displaying 100 items. Thank you to Mrs Lamond and Miss Barnes for making this milestone such a fun day for the students.
