Principal's Message

From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

It was a real pleasure to attend the Year 4 camp to Stringybark Lodge last week. We were blessed with beautiful blues skies on Wednesday and Thursday and an overcast but rain-free day on Friday. The children had a wonderful time participating in the various activities on offer. The flying fox was certainly one of the favourites.

These camps are an excellent opportunity for children to build their resilience, push themselves outside their comfort zone and to share a camp experience with their school friends, away from the comforts of home.

Tennis Court Update

Our new courts certainly look bright, especially with today's sunshine on them. Yesterday two trucks of sand were spread over them to hold the grass down, so today the students could play on them! Our final step is one day next week when the netball posts and rings will be installed and the tennis nets put in.

They certainly are a great resource for our school and sure to be the site for many a great game.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Parent/Teacher Interviews were conducted this week. Our teachers really appreciated the time spent talking to parents about their children and for the older students, the sharing of their own learning goals for this term. If you missed this opportunity and would like an interview please contact your child's teacher to arrange a time.

Sport News

Congratulations to our senior netball and soccer teams who competed on Wednesday at the division level. While we didn't come home with wins we were very proud of the way our students conducted themselves.

Guys and Dolls

We are very grateful to Salesian College and Sacred Heart Girls' College for the invitation to attend the full dress rehearsal of their school production Guys and Dolls, which took place today. The children thoroughly enjoyed the show and also gave them an insight into the types of experiences and productions are on offer at each of the colleges.

Free Umbrellas

Last call out to those families that have not taken a COHR umbrella. We ask that an adult comes to the office to collect it and then please use them when you are out and about to advertise our fantastic school! Remaining umbrellas will be used as promotional gifts to those who assist us at COHR.

Fee Statements

Fee statements were sent out last week. Thank you to those families who continue to make payments according to their payment plan nominated at the start of the year.

A reminder that next Wednesday, 9th August is our next Hot Dog Day. If you are yet to place your child's order we would ask that you do so as soon as possible to assist with catering. Thank you.
