Year 7

  • Thank you to those parents who responded to the Year 7 Camp permission forms. If you have any issues or concerns you would like to discuss before granting permission, please do not hesitate to get in contact.
  • Just a reminder that there is always something students can do in response to teasing & bullying behaviours. Some simple strategies involve:
    • Keeping your distance
    • Refrain from bullying back
    • Tell them that what they are doing is not okay
    • Talk to an adult you trust
  • Lastly, results of the cohort inter house challenge will be revealed this week and prizes distributed. The competition will of course continue into week 4 - where students are just quietly reminded to make sure their locker is neat and tidy!

  • This term Year 9s are participating in PG challenges that range from Kahoot Trivias to Basketball shootouts. Points will be awarded throughout the term. May the best house win!

Year 10

  • The students received their affirmations last week that were written by their peers on Retreat.  I hope that the students were able to reflect upon the kind words written and feel a stronger connection with others.
  • Thank you to the parents and students who have booked their SET plan meeting.  These meetings are mandatory and allow the students and parents to have a 1 on 1 discussion about the senior pathway and subjects that will be chosen for Year 11.  It is important to note that subject changes can still be made after the SET plan meeting up to the 21st August.  If further conversations are needed, we welcome parents and students to make contact and arrange another meeting.
  • Our Year 10 Spirit Cup Challenge continued last week with Cahill versing Murray in the Hoops Challenge final.  Hutchy and Heavey will play off this week for third and fourth to complete a delayed Round 1.  I’m looking forward to seeing what happens to the points tally in Semester 2.
