Wakakirri performance

Dear Parents and Carers,

I’m sorry to have to inform you that due to ongoing Covid restrictions and the current lockdown, all Wakakirri live shows have been cancelled and will not go ahead this year. However, this DOES NOT mean that our performance of “Escape from the Wild Things” has been cancelled altogether. 

We have made the decision to change our entry from live performance to video entry. Miss Lord, Miss Quarrier and myself, with support from Mr Tapp and Mrs Harvey, are working on a plan to film our performance and submit it as our entry when students are back at school again. We don’t know yet how this will look (there are a few options in the works) but please know that it is our priority that all of our students still have the chance to participate in Wakakirri this year. Further details will be sent out once we know when school is returning as normal.

In the meantime, please encourage your children to keep on practicing. We also ask that if you haven’t yet organised your child’s costume, to please do so as soon as possible. Thank you again for your support, we know it’s been a rollercoaster, but we are determined that the show will go on!
