Principal Introduction

Dear EMC Community,

The news received this week in relation to students returning to onsite learning was not what we were hoping for as a school community.  Remote and flexible learning will remain in place until the end of this term at this stage. The staff will continue to work hard in supporting the young people of our community. Be reassured the priorities remain; staying connected with our students, supporting wellbeing, and providing appropriate learning experiences to ensure the continued growth of our young people.  I encourage parents and students to continue to access support through our teaching staff and wellbeing team when needed.

The General Achievement Test (GAT) has been rescheduled for Tuesday 5th October - 10:00 am - 1:15 pm.  All students enrolled in one or more VCE or scored VCE VET Unit 3 and 4 sequences must sit the GAT.

At this stage, schools have been advised the timing for VCE examinations will not change.

I am happy to report our principal, Mr. Dean King is recovering well from his recent surgery to repair significant bone fractures and is hoping to be back before the end of this term.  He is very keen to return to his role leading the college during this challenging period.

Warm regards,

Tim Harper

Acting Principal
