Spring - A time of New Beginnings!
As we begin the season of Spring, we also enter the season of ‘Care for Creation’,
and are reminded that we are called to be stewards of creation.
Pope Francis has suggested that many Christians need an ‘ecological conversion, whereby the effects of our encounter with Jesus Christ become evident in our relationship with the world around us.
Living our vocation to be protectors of God’s handiwork is essential to a life of virtue; it is not an optional or a secondary aspect of our Christian experience.’ (Laudato Si’, n. 217)
The coming of the warmer weather reminds us of the beauty around us and the
gifts we have been given.
Let us give thanks.
Let us Pray:
God of our journey, God of love, we give you thanks and praise you for the wonders you bestow on us. May our faith community encounter Jesus and respond to the call to both conversion of heart and ‘ecological conversion.
This we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
