Class 17

Everyone has settled in extremely well this term after the Christmas Holidays.

Our BIG project for this year is to plan and organise a school formal for the VPC cohort. This is quite a big task, but we are up for the challenge. We know that this is a special moment in our lives, and we can’t wait to get dressed up, have some fun with friends and enjoy our evening. We are planning to have the formal in term four to celebrate the end of the year.

For our mini project we have decided to make sensory packs and set up an empty classroom as a sensory/wellbeing room for the senior students to use. We have worked in smaller groups and have made great progress with this task. We can’t wait to share our project with the rest of the senior students. Our masterclass project is discussing and making ourselves aware of online safety. Some of the things we have covered so far are:

• How to keep your accounts safe online
• Creating a strong password
• Sharing information online
• What is cyber-bullying?
• Types of bullying

Congratulations to all students for a great term 1 in class 17. We have achieved so much and had many laughs along the way. We can’t wait to see what term 2 and the rest of the year will bring!
