Prayer:
A Creed for Our Children
We want our children to be strong – to do what they believe is right and to recover when they make mistakes.
We want our children to have empathy – to know what it is like to be lonely, scared and vulnerable; to seek help and to give help.
We want our children to love warmly – their families, their lives, other children, peoples of different cultures and abilities.
We want our children to judge critically – to recognize the good and hopeful and to reach for a full life; to recognise untruth, cruelty, violence, disrespect and danger and to deal with them resourcefully.
We want our children to love God – to know the love of God through the adults surrounding them; to know God as a friend and faithful companion.
Amen

Week 11 Holy Week Reflections
In the last week of Term 1, St Xavier’s students were involved in Holy Week Reflections which outlined key events in Jesus’ life in the days leading up to his crucifixion. Years 2 and 5 started off the week detailing Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. This was followed by Year One who reflected on Jesus giving us the Eucharist at the Last Supper. The Kindergarten students were next, also reflecting on the Last Supper, but this time focusing on Jesus teaching his disciples to serve others in the Washing of the Feet. On the last day of Term 1, Years 3, 4 and 6 reenacted the Stations of the Cross, ending with Jesus’ death on the cross.
Please enjoy viewing some photos of the 2023 Holy Week Reflections.
