Principals Message
Dear parents and carers,
Welcome to Term Two at St Xavier’s. I was very proud to march with so many of our students on ANZAC Day. I appreciate very much the families who were able to be there to support us. Once again we had a large number of students present and they each displayed respect and conducted themselves beautifully.
This term three new families have joined the SXG community and we hope they feel as though they are part of the family very soon. Welcome to the following students;
- Harry Bresac in Year 4
- Abriana Kanjere in Year 5
- Mirrabel Kanjere in Year 2
- Amelia Dickson in Year 2
Our students are very good at helping people feel welcome and valued. If you see a new parent at drop off or pick up, give them a smile or a hello. My mantra in 2023 is, “No-one belongs here more than you.” This is our school and as a staff we all “own” all the children in our care.
Our swimmers did us proud once again as they competed at the PSSA level last term. The cheers from school could be heard all over as we watched individuals and our relay team compete at this elite level. The results were amazing and our children were so humble in their success. A few tears were shed here at school as we watched with immense pride as the children competed. We are now anticipating the National level at which Molly Ramien and Lexi Whitton will compete - what an honour!
Please keep in mind that all staff are very happy to be contacted with any concerns about learning or wellbeing. If there is anything you would like to chat to your child’s teacher about please email them. We are here to work with you to help your children be the best version of themselves possible.
Kind regards,
Jen
