Dante Alighieri Poetry Competition

On Monday 26th June, 60 students in Years 9, 10 and 11 Italian participated in the Dante Alighieri Poetry Competition at Melbourne University. Students travelled into the city by train and competed alongside many other secondary schools in Melbourne.
Students were required to recite by memory selected poems in front of a panel of expert judges. They were marked on their pronunciation, fluency and delivery.
Students and teachers then made their way to the famous Lygon st Carlton where they ate, drank and shopped for all things Italian!
Many thanks to Ms Lauren Honeycombe and Ms Lauren Morrison for accompanying us. It was an extremely enjoyable day for all.
