Professional Cadetships Australia 2023 Business Cadetship applications now open for current Year 12 students

Learn more about the cadetship opportunity available from Professional Cadetships Australia (PCA) by taking a look at this video and website explaining everything you need to know about their Business Cadetship Program. As a Business Cadet, you combine university study in Sydney with paid work at UBS, at Barrenjoey Capital Partners, or at Macquarie Group. The Business Cadetships Program allows you to choose the university where you will study and allows you latitude in your choice of degree program. Interested students are advised to carefully read all the information provided in the Business Cadetships section on the PCA website here. Applications for this Business Cadetships Program are made online to PCA and close 24 May 2023.

Discover Monash Course Information sessions open for registrations – running from March to May

Students considering studying at Monash University are encouraged to join the Discover Monash events to hear directly from current Monash students, alumni and staff across their ten faculties. The first of these future student events are being held on Wednesday 29 March and will cover Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Science and Medicine. For a list of all upcoming Discover Monash events go to: www.monash.edu/discover/events/course-information These events may be in person or online with registration essential, and Monash recommends you register asap for in-person events due to limited capacity.

World-class UNSW degrees at ADFA

The Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) offers world-class degrees in Business, Engineering, Computing, Arts and Science. Based in Canberra, students who join ADFA have a unique opportunity to receive advanced military and leadership training whilst studying a range of degrees from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). ADFA also offers students a salary while they study, allowing them to focus throughout their degrees and enjoy a range of sporting and extra-curricular activities without the need to get a part-time job. 

Upon graduation students are guaranteed a career in the Navy, Army or Air Force and will have their degree fully funded, graduating HELP-debt free. Students who graduate from ADFA move into a range of exciting and varied jobs as Officers, these range from Pilots, Civil Engineers, Logistics and Finance Officers, Mission Controllers and much more. Create for a Day workshop at SAE – running from 15 to 29 April, 10am – 3pm

SAE Institute is opening its doors this April school holidays for a one-day program, designed to develop skills and get students working on inspiring creative projects in the fields of Animation, Audio, Design, Film, Games, Music Production, or Song Writing. This is also a chance to experience life as an SAE student and discover what it means to be a creative professional, in state-of-the-art facilities with industry experts by your side. During the workshop, attendees will learn valuable practical and collaborative skills to build a creative piece of work! They will also receive a certificate of participation to acknowledge the creative project they have undertaken. Due to the level of workshop content, this event is open to school students aged 15 years and above (Year 10 and over). Tickets are limited and going fast! Find out more and register here.

FAA 2-day Airline Pilot workshop – 18 to 19 April, 9:30am to 3:30pm

Flight Academy Australia (FAA) is offering interested students an opportunity to sample the world of aviation by participating in one of their 2-day Airline Pilot Workshops in the April school holidays. The program is hands on and designed to provide insight into flying as a career choice, and what you need to do to get there. See below flyer for Workshop details and costs.

Employment opportunities for students with Splash’s Learn to Swim

Splash’s learn to swim operates swim schools in Berwick, Clyde North, Dandenong and Pakenham. They are recruiting secondary school students for casual and part time employment as swim teachers and teaching assistants. These roles are ideal for students with hours available after school, on weekends and during school holidays. Applications for Swim Teachers are open to students aged 16 and over. Students aged 14-16 are welcome to apply for a role as a Teaching Assistant. Students can apply via the online application form found at: www.splashs.com.au/careers/

Swim teaching is an excellent opportunity for students that are interested in a future career that values experience in working with children of all ages and abilities, working in a dynamic environment, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to problem solve.
