Kitchen Garden Week 5 3/4C

We had a fun last garden session on Monday afternoon. The students broke off into their small groups straight away and quickly got their hands dirty!

This week the students were adding compost to garden beds in preparation for planting, harvesting fruit and veggies, hedging and bundling rosemary and one group planted broccoli and placed netting over the top to stop anything from tasting the broccoli before we do!

The students were so hands on and super enthused.

We can’t wait to visit the garden in about 12 weeks’ time to see how the broccoli is going.

Thank you to our lovely volunteers Katrina, Janine, Bob, Sue and Peta!

3/4C have loved their garden sessions and look forward to continuing to visit the garden.

Next week we will be cooking with produce from the garden!
