House Athletics Sports

In sunny, windy and wet athletics conditions, Red House came out on top in this year’s Athletics Sports. Congratulations to all Red House participants. As well, we should congratulate all participants on their efforts and their contribution to their house.  I stood back amazed, as I watched so many students displaying our school values by encouraging their house mates and other peers during the events. 

After a terrific day of competition, Red House came first, beating Green House in second place, Blue House in third place and Gold House finishing in fourth position. Every student having a go in each event was so important for each house this year.  It was great to see families spectating to show their support of the WEPS students. 

Thank you to all the parents who assisted on various activities throughout the day.  A special thank you to Leisa, Diane, Brett, Allesha, Billy and Shannon for giving up their entire day to work at our event. It was greatly appreciated. We also were fortunate enough to have Warrnambool College students to assist throughout the day. Their help was greatly appreciated and it made everyone’s job so much easier.  

Many thanks to the teachers for their terrific work before, during and after the sports. In particular the phenomenal effort in the teacher relay. The sports couldn’t operate without the great work of the specialist team who gave up lots of their time in preparation for the day. 

A huge thank you to Isaac, who assisted with the incredible task of marking the lines and gave up so much of his time for this event to run  A very special thank you to Jimmy who provided great assistance before and at the conclusion of the sports. Finally, congratulations to all the students who will represent our school at the Inter School Athletic Sports to be held at Brauerander Park on Monday 3rd April.
