Getting to know our Team.

This week we are getting to know Learning Community 3.

Mrs Glenys Howard is one of our Grade 5/6 Teachers

She lives in Tynong and has been a Teacher at our school for 21 years. She hopes that this year to help her students achieve their goals and prepare them for future learning.

Mrs Jess Beilby is one of our Grade 5/6 Teachers

She lives in Bunyip and has been a Teacher at our school for 5 years. She hopes to  celebrate learning and empower students to achieve success. 

Miss Nicole Stark is one of our Grade 5/6 Teachers

She lives in Officer and has been a teacher at our school for 1.5 years. She hopes this year  to continue her own personal learning journey and extend the learning of all her students. 

Miss Alex Lewis is one of our Grade 5/6 Teachers

She lives in Patterson Lakes and has been a Teacher at our school for 5 Years.

She hope that this year will bring lots of fun & more baby chickens!

Mrs Leanne McKane is an Aide in the 5/6 Area.

She lives in Bunyip and has been an Aide at our school for 11 years. 

She hopes to have a great year with the students.

STUDENT REPORT!

World Maths Day Incursion!

On Friday 3rd March students participated in the Worlds Math Day Incursion. It was around a 2 hour session to challenge their brains! Students got handed a worksheet with lots of activities and fun things to do. It was held in the school hall, some of the activities completed were: Into Gear, Dimensions, By the Weigh, Napier's Bones, Through The Forest, Pipeline, Tiler, Zoo trip, Post box, Shadows rule, Farmer Joe, Rebound and more. 

5/6 Science!

In science we have been learning about volcanoes and earthquakes, and how Türkiye had a big earthquake on the 6th of Feb 2023. Türkiye has had over 230 aftershocks, 41,020 people have died due to the earthquake. We also made model volcanoes!
