The last two weeks have been very busy but we have all had fun learning so much. In Reading we have continued to learn about the alphabet letters and their most common sounds and we have even made words with this new knowledge.

We have also begun learning about the most common words your child will come across in reading and writing. If your child finds these words easy to read, take on the challenge of spelling them!

In Maths we have continued our work on shapes, making our very own Shapes Booklet and reading, writing and matching number words and items to 10. We absolutely loved the Maths incursion last week learning all kinds of hands on Maths games and skills.

The students looked very snappy with their new hairdos for our Photo Day on Wednesday.

Prep Guy's Students of the Week

Last week our Student Of The Week was Charlotte. Charlotte always tries her best and shows resilience working through her learning activities. Well done Charlotte.

This week our Student Achiever is Evie for showing huge amounts of resilience, working her way through challenging tasks and never giving up. Great effort Evie.

1/2 Smith & Stoll

Over the last two week's the Grade 1/2s have been learning Reading skills of Visualising and Questioning. Students have enjoyed drawing about what they're reading and coming up with some great questions about their texts.

We have learnt to describe characters to help extend our writing and have been learning about the letter e making the short e sound as in bed, red and seventeen.

We have begun looking at 2D shapes in Maths and have been continuing our learning about numbers to 100 with a focus on skip counting and number lines.

We hope everyone enjoys their long weekend.
