Weekly Overview

We make it through yet again another exciting week at HTS.  The classrooms are in action with our talented educational assistants supporting our teachers to provide quality teaching to our students. The range of years displays a continuation of knowledge being transferred from one year to the next.   Students at HTS have been reaching for success and striving to be intrinsic and motivated learners.

Our goal for next week is to promote the next part of our Living Well, Learning Well framework of being respected and a valued learner.  We are encouraging students to play games with enjoyment and encourage positive interactions amongst one another. Please help support this goal by trying to focus on the positives of school, friendships and our school community.

NAPLAN

NAPLAN testing continues this week for all students in Years 3, 5, 7 and Year 9.

If a student is absent on one or more of these days, catch-up sessions will be held. Students have been involved in practice and familiarisation activities in preparation for the NAPLAN assessments. They should ensure that they are rested so that they can complete the tests to the best of their ability.

We keep all students in our prayers during this time.

Family Conferences and Meetings

Today our family conferences have commenced. Thank you to those that are booked and eager to engage with our wonderful teaching staff about your child/children. We hope to acheive/plan goals and give insight into how your child learns within our classrooms.

The duration of these meetings will be 10 minutes, if you require further time this will require another booking to be held after the conference evening with your child's class teacher.
