The Early Years

Last week, Week 9, the Early Years students had a lot of fun celebrating Harmony Week. The whole college celebrated with a wide range of activities happening each day of the week. It was amazing to see some of the beautiful cultural dress, as well as all the pops of orange on Tuesday. Each Learning Space created beautiful pieces of art, which can be seen in the photographs below. These artworks celebrate the differences between each and every one of us. The week wrapped up with a FABULOUS Assembly performed by our Year One’s. The sharing of language and special traditions of different cultures from students within the Learning Spaces was very interesting, which both captured and entertained the audience. The song was a beautiful conclusion to Harmony Week celebrations. A special congratulations to Miss Giovanna Arfuso and Miss Annie Hughes for preparing the students so wonderfully for this event.

Next week, we are looking forward to the Year Two’s leading the Primary School in celebrating Holy Week. The students are currently practising their tableau of the Stations of the Cross to perform on Wednesday next week (Week 10).

As this is will be the last newsletter of the Term, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our Salvado families a wonderful Easter break. I hope you all have the opportunity to spend quality time together as families and share in the celebration of Easter.
