Acting Principal's Report

Acting Principal’s Report 24th March

Student Leaders

On Monday 27th March, at assembly, we will be presenting some of our student leaders with their badges. As we have so many student leaders, and some of our leaders are on an excursion, we will only be presenting our SRC representatives with their badges. All other leaders will be presented their badges at the following assembly on Monday 3rd April.

It’s such an exciting opportunity and time to recognise our student leaders in an official manner. From my first assembly this week, I can already see we have a wonderful group of student leaders who will help to maintain the standards at our school and will use their voices to contribute their ideas, opinions and support to ensure we continue to constantly improve the way we educate our school community.

Running Club

It has been fabulous to hear the excited buzz around the school about running club. I can’t wait to get out there and see it in action!

Harmony Day

Lyndhurst Primary School has always done an amazing job of creating and cultivating an ‘inclusive school’ even before the term ‘inclusive schools’ became a part of school’s  strategic plans and documents.

It was very exciting to see our students dressed in their national dress and sharing more about their family traditions and cultures, including their traditional lunches!

On that note, I would like to thank everyone for making me feel included and so welcome on my arrival to Lyndhurst Primary School as the Acting Principal for 2023. I am very excited about the year ahead and feel very privileged to have this opportunity to continue the innovative work and constant improvement that Lyndhurst Primary School has a reputation for. I have been delighted and have experienced great pleasure when chatting to the students in the upper grades who have changed and grown so much from the adorable Prep and Grade 1 students I remember them as. It’s so rewarding as an educator to see that they have grown into confident Grade 5 and 6 students with strong voice and agency.
