Vision for Learners

Interviewers Needed! - Year 10 Mock Interviews
Our Personal Learning Pathways program continues this term with the Year 10s developing their skill in applying for and obtaining an entry level job. Students are required to complete a written application including a resume and cover letter and then undertake a ‘mock’ job interview for the position. Past students have always commented on the value of this experience in preparing them for the challenges faced in applying for jobs now, and into the future. The mock interviews will take place on Monday 9 November here at the College.
In order for this day to run effectively we require volunteers from our school community to act as interviewers. We do have some ‘regulars’ we are able to call on but we are always on the lookout for more volunteers. We would love to have some of our parents and wider community involved in this program (no experience required!) so I am hopeful that you will call or email me at the College with an offer to assist. (83683311 or annie.fitridge@endeavour.sa.edu.au). All details and information regarding the interview session will be provided along with a very tasty morning tea. The interviews run from around 8.30am until 1.00pm.

Looking at Learning around the College!
While Year 9 girls were doing their learning at Deep Creek Conservation Park and the Year 12 students were putting the finishing touches on their classroom learning at Endeavour College forever, the rest of the College was also alive with opportunities to learn new skills and acquire some all important subject knowledge. The photo slide show below captures the action in a few classrooms. See if you can pick who is doing what!
Year 7s are investigating Forces, Year 9s are preparing for their solo night on camp, Year 8s are engaging in their Project Based Learning unit on Social Justice and poetry and playing the hierarchy game, some Year 10s were working on Geography assessments while others were practising trigonometry, some Year 7s were admiring the Year 10 Art display, Year 11s were constructing sidetables and cabinets and Year 12s were busy completing their final assignments.
There was certainly much excitement!
