Year 11 Latrobe University Excursion -14th Oct 2019

Dear students, parents/guardians and teachers of Year 11.

The second of the Year 11 University Experience days will be occurring on Monday 14th October at Latrobe University in Bundoora.

This is a compulsory event for all Year 11 students (excluding VCAL). All Year 11 classes will be cancelled for the day. VCAL students will be participating in an alternate activity on this day.

The day is aimed at providing students with an opportunity to explore pathways beyond school, receive information that will help them prepare for their choices regarding tertiary education, explore strategies and mechanisms to cope with the demands and stress of VCE and allow them to engage and connect with their peers.

Students are to meet at the green hard courts at 8.50am for a strict 9.05 departure by chartered bus. We will be returning back to school at approximately 2.50pm.

Students will be required to wear school uniform or PE uniform and bring a pen and notebook. Students may either bring their own lunch or purchase their lunch from the University Cafeteria or surrounding cafes.

The cost associated with this event is covered by the Essential Student Learning Items paid at the start of the school year, however students are encouraged to bring some money for lunch.

The day will include a tour of the university, a presentation from Latrobe staff and former KDC students, along with KDC staff-led workshops. A detailed outline of the day, including maps, will be provided closer to the day.
