YEAR 10 SCIENCE EXCURSION TO GARDENWORLD
Year 10 Science ‘Make My Day’ class recently visited Gardenworld in Keysborough to gain a better understanding of different types of plants. With a deeper understanding of the diversity of plants, the second aim was to bring a few herbs and vegetable plants home to plant in the vegetable garden that the students are developing. Everyone had a great time and also enjoyed looking at the large variety of rocks, crystals and fossils on show.

I saw a lot of bonsai plants, cactus plants, veggie plants, venus fly trap, orchids, air plants, bromeliads, rocks, minerals, crystals and fossils. Miles Wilson
Gardenworld was nothing I would have expected. It blew my mind the amount of plants and rocks the store had for us to admire. It was certainly an experience that I will remember forever.
Ella Collison
Gardenworld is a very sheltered place with lots of cool plants. I really liked the bamboo plants. I saw a willow tree whose bark is used as a pain reliever. Trae Thermos
Gardenworld was a huge place. Not only did it showcase different plants but also rocks, minerals, fossils and statues of dinosaurs. The plants that I saw were orchids, cacti, bonsai, bromeliads and carnivorous plants. I was fascinated by the brain cactus and the amethyst rocks. After we explored the first section, we went to the nursery and brought plants to grow at school.
