A great day of golf for Matthew

Congratulations goes to Matthew P (5L) for his recent success in the SSV Division Primary Schools Golf event held at the Woodlands Golf Club.  Matthew competed against approximately fifty other keen 10-12 year old boys on a Par 3,4 and 5 nine-hole short course over the morning.

Caddied by none other than sharp-witted P. Power, Matthew was able to control his nerves to make short work on many of the holes, placing 6th overall on the day!   Well done Matthew!

He will now compete in the Regional finals to be held in November.  We wish him all the very best for this next level of competition.

This Friday 6th September, our 13 Division Athletes at set to head to Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park to compete at the Beachside Division Athletics Carnival.  Our qualifying students will compete in their respective track or field events over the day against other Beachside Division representative athletes.  Many thanks to the parents for arranging to take their child to this event.  We wish our competing students all the very best!

Isabelle F set for NATIONALS!

We congratulate Isabelle F (6C) who has been selected to represent Victoria at the National Athletics Carnival in Darwin later this month.  Isabelle is to represent Victoria in the field event of discus and in a medley relay.  

To assist Isabelle’s family with covering the costs of this National experience (paying for flights, accommodation, uniform and coaching), we are holding a DRESS AS YOUR FAVOURITE ATHLETE DAY on Monday 16th September.  We ask if children can also bring along a gold-coin to donate and help raise funds for Isabelle’s Nationals experience.
