Evie's Fashion Show

In Term 4, Evie in Year 3 put together a fashion show for her Barbie Dolls.

After spending Term 3 creating a suitable home with furniture for the dolls out of 3D shapes, she was able to start the process of creating and designing wonderful new outfits for 10 of her dolls.

Some of her designs were inspired by YouTube Clips where she had to follow instructions and methods to create spectacular gowns. As Evie became more inspired by the process, she was able to create dresses using her own special fashion styling techniques.

After completing each dress, Evie wrote a script for each doll in which she narrated details about the dress as they walked down the runway to the adoring fans.

Evie filmed the fashion show using stop-motion animation and she has done an amazing job with this project!

Year 3 and 4 Authors and Illustrators

Two weeks ago, we shared the process the Year 3 and 4 students went through to write and publish their picture storybooks. Since then the students have worked hard to complete their books by the deadline of Monday. They needed to present them to the Year 1 and 2 students.

On Monday, the Year 1 and 2 students visited the Year 3 and 4 Learning Community. Waiting for them there were our newest Authors and Illustrators. They were excited to have the opportunity to share their work with an audience. Over 30 minutes, the students from each Community moved around, sharing stories and feedback about their stories.

The stories were eagerly listened to and enjoyed. Everyone enjoyed the experience.

Afterwards, the Year 3 and 4 students reflected on their experience and identified any new learnings or things they may do differently next time.

Well done to our Year 3 and 4 authors!
