Happy Lunar New Year!

We would like to wish all our families who celebrate Lunar New Year, happiness and prosperity for 2023, the Year of the Rabbit!

In the Library, students have enjoyed browsing and borrowing books about Chinese New Year, the Chinese zodiac and Non-fiction books about China.

During Cultural Studies, the Grade One and Two students have learnt about how Lunar New Year is celebrated in Vietnam. They also learnt the story of the 'Great Race' to decide the twelve animals of the Chinese Zodiac. The students discovered what animal they are based on the year they were born. I'm not surprised to say that many of the Grade One's and Two's are Monkeys, which means they are 'a little bit mischievous' !!
